| Eagles OT Lane Johnson suspended 10 games for PEDs Posted: 09 Aug 2016 04:23 PM PDT Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson has reportedly been suspended for 10 games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. Johnson is appealing the suspension. Johnson was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. FANTASY ANALYSIS: This would be a big blow to an Eagles offense that's looking to get its mojo back now that Chip Kelly is gone. Pass-protecting for the forever-brittle Sam Bradford is also vital. In addition to Johnson's drama, left tackle Jason Peters, now 34 years old, seems to be banged up often and battled a bad back last season. He's also missed parts of training camp due to a quad injury. |

| Patriots WR Julian Edelman exits practice with lower leg injury Posted: 09 Aug 2016 02:34 PM PDT New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was forced out of a joint practice with the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday. The trusty wideout who just came off the PUP list due to two surgeries on his left foot, had clearly suffered a lower left leg injury. The full extent and the exact nature of the injury is not yet known, however, he was visibly upset and slammed his helmet down prior to hopping on the cart and having trainers check out his injured left leg. With that said, he was at least able to walk off the field on his own power after being examined. FANTASY ANALYSIS: If this turns out to be a long-term injury, it would be a devastating blow for everyone involved. It's a significant loss for PPR owners who can depend on him to pile up receptions on a weekly basis. Edelman is also the man that helps this offense go. Both Edelman and Rob Gronkowski are the key weapons. Edelman will be particularly important the first four weeks if the team wants to survive without Tom Brady. Everyone on the Patriots' offense will suffer due to this loss. Again, we do not know the full extent of this injury, we will definitely keep you up to date though. |
