Dolphins WR DeVante Parker has successful surgery on his foot Posted: 05 Jun 2015 02:05 PM PDT Dolphins' first-round pick DeVante Parker underwent surgery on Friday morning on the same foot he had injured at Louisville. The procedure was reportedly a precautionary measure to replace a screw in his foot, which he broke last year. He is currently on the PUP list, however, he's expected to be ready for Week 1. FANTASY ANALYSIS: Parker has been my first rookie wide receiver off the board since the draft. This definitely is a cause for concern. Just the fact that he will not be out there practicing as a rookie could cause him early season struggles. I'm not significantly dropping him down my board though. Not unless he's going to miss time in the regular season. This is a situation worth monitoring closely. Greg Jennings would likely be the biggest beneficiary should there be any setbacks. |
Rams WR Brian Quick running routes 'against air' at OTAs Posted: 05 Jun 2015 01:55 PM PDT Rams' wide receiver Brian Quick is back on the field running routes "against air". He is still recovering from shoulder surgery and has been very limited at OTAs this offseason. Quick is expected to be ready for the start of the season and hopes to participate more thoroughly at training camp later this month. FANTASY ANALYSIS: Quick is projected to be the Rams' top wideout assuming he's healthy. They have a very weak receiving corps and will need Quick's production to have a competent passing attack. He is a bit inconsistent but started off 2014 hot. It's difficult to decipher who will be new quarterback Nick Foles' go-to guy. It may be best to stay away from the Rams' WRs, however, if you do pick one up, a healthy Quick is probably your best option. |
Vikings RB Adrian Peterson in great shape Posted: 05 Jun 2015 01:43 PM PDT Adrian Peterson is back in camp and is reportedly in great shape and hasn't shown any signs of rust. His Vikings' teammate, corner back Captain Munnerlyn, has been particularly impressed with his conditioning. "He's been out of football for almost a whole year, but a guy like him, though hellip; I haven't been around him in six months. I didn't know he was going to come back in this type of shape," Munnerlyn said. "He's in unbelievable shape, like he never lost a step. And he's out to prove a point." FANTASY ANALYSIS: While you should have expected nothing less from Peterson, it's still good to have conformation of his conditioning. He has always been renowned for his conditioning and work ethic in the gym. AP should be climbing draft boards now that he's back with the team. He may be a top three back and is no doubt in the top five. We've seen him go as high as first overall in mock drafts already before he even reported to the team. |
