Humans Need For The Path To Salvation

By Karina Frost

Sin is described as a human problem that causes a lot of suffering. Not only now in the current life but also, in the next one. Christians are believed to hold good news that can help deal with this problem. The good news is that of Jesus Christ who is referred to as the path to salvation. Evidence of this can be found in the Bible.

The death of Jesus Christ on behalf of humans, makes him able to provide salvation to man. His death took care of the sins of the world. This is the core of the good news. It is obsolete if one does not believe in the sacrifice of the Son of God. No matter how hard people work to do good, their work cannot save them.

God is the Supreme Being in the universe. He has set rules that if obeyed, our lives would be quite easy. However, since our nature is inclined to sin we end up disobeying the commands. Though we know what is good and bad, it is a wonder that we still chose what does not benefit us. It is important that we are worked on from the inside out.

There is need for salvation. The most talked about reason is so that we can get to heaven. Everyone dreams of heaven which seems to be an amazing place free from all the struggles life has to offer. Whoever does not accept or believe in Jesus may be condemned to hell. Most people out of fear will strive to avoid this.

Another positive reason is it enables you to better understand your creator. This somehow enables you to have a companion who is a Supreme Being. This somehow gives you peace and you know that someone has got your back when life gets hard. One is also able to understand the word of God well. This is the work of Holy Spirit.

In order to receive salvation there are certain steps you should take. For example, admitting that you sin. This means that you know that you have done wrong at some point of your life. The next step is repenting your sins. It is important to believe that Jesus gave his life up for you. The last step involves prayer where you ask Jesus to come into your heart.

It does not stop there. You must ensure there is growth in your spiritual life. You can read your bible daily to get a better understanding of God. Praying daily or as often as possible is also good. As a new believer it is key that you constantly fellowship with other believers. This can increase your faith. It is also good to tell others about Christ.

If you are not convinced about salvation, you should not make that move. Do only what you are sure of. To some people it is a non-regrettable move. Others do not pay attention to this kind of news. Obviously people have different perspectives on life. Get the necessary information as the decision is definitely personal and you do not need to be convinced on what to believe in.
