Texans RB Arian Foster listed as questionable

Posted: 20 Sep 2014 07:03 AM PDT

Arian Foster is listed as questionable on the Texans' injury report for Week 3. Foster is dealing with a hamstring injury that kept him in a limited role at practice on Thursday. Foster has a history of hamstring injuries. If he's unable to play, look for Texans RB Alfred Blue and RB Jonathan Grimes to carry the load. FANTASY ANALYSIS: Foster's owners should be somewhat concerned about this news. His injury history is far from spotless, especially when it comes to hamstring issues. And that type of injury tends to linger for weeks, and is prone to reaggravation. Right now it seems like Foster will play Sunday, but how close he is to 100 percent is unknown. Through two weeks, Foster is second in the NFL in rushing yards. If he's on the field, he's a must-start RB against a weak Giants defense. Fantasy owners should make sure to check his status leading up to game time on Sunday. If he's unable to play, Blue looks like the better option, as he saw 11 carries to Grimes' three in Week 2.

Ravens RB Bernard Pierce listed as questionable

Posted: 20 Sep 2014 06:47 AM PDT

Bernard Pierce is listed as quesitonable on the Ravens' injury report this week after sustaining a thigh injury during Thursday's practice. Pierce was able to get in limited practice both Thursday and Friday. If Pierce is unable to play, Ravens RB Justin Forsett will likely start in his place. FANTASY ANALYSIS: Mid-week injuries are always worrisome. Pierce has a good matchup against the Browns in Week 3, but his fantasy owners should be cautious about rolling him out with this injury concern. If he plays but isn't 100 percent, it's very possible that Forsett could see the better end of the work split. Pierce's value is primarily based on volume, and if that goes away, he's a very risky start. If you don't have any better options available, at least keep an eye on Pierce's availability Sunday morning.
