In a tweet he wrote on Tuesday, Trump said he will send in more law enforcement to tackle the Chicago's crime. His administration has also promised to stand up for the law enforcement community by empowering police officers and promising to end "the dangerous anti-police atmosphere."Trump has issued an order to start chipping away at Obamacare. Just hours after taking office on Friday, Trump signed an executive order that instructed the agency overseeing Obamacare to interpret some of the law’s regulations loosely ― in ways that could undermine it even before Congress gets around to repealing it. This order is basically Trump doing what he can, on his own, to get the process underway.Trump claims murder in Philadelphia has been “terribly increasing.” He is terribly wrong. In fact, Pennsylvania’s largest city has seen violent crime drop to “levels unseen in decades,” Philly.com reported earlier this month, citing Philadelphia police. Burglaries fell to a record low, and the total number of homicides decreased from 2015 levels, remaining below 300 in 2016. Activists including DeRay McKesson, Johnetta Elzie, Samuel Sinyangwe and Brittany Packnett have launched the Resistance Manual, an open-source platform which houses resources people can use to “resist the impact of a Trump presidency and to continue to make progress in our communities.”Black Twitter users said no to Trump and yes to ‘The Wiz’ during the inauguration. In anticipation of the gloom Trump’s inauguration would cast over minority communities on Friday, black Twitter participated in an #InaugurationBlackout that consisted of live-tweeting “The Wiz” on Netflix during the event. Timelines were flooded with tweets that reflected collective expressions of black joy, nostalgia, observations of the musical’s eerie foreboding and calls for solidarity.Protesters flood NYC’s Washington Square Park to oppose Muslim ban. “Resist!” That was the chant that could be heard blocks away from New York City’s Washington Square Park Wednesday night as up to a thousand protesters gathered to show their solidarity with the Muslim community.
