Steelers TE Ladarius Green could retire due to recurring headaches

Posted: 11 Aug 2016 05:48 PM PDT

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Ladarius Green has been experiencing persistent headaches. The team had been saying Green was still recovering from offseason ankle surgery. Multiple sources are now saying these headaches are such a problem that they could force Green to retire. FANTASY ANALYSIS: This is crazy news and comes totally out of left field. Green has been a popular sleeper pick this offseason and even in years past as many assumed he would eventually overtake the ageless Antonio Gates. It turns out that none of that may even matter as the Steelers have not been entirely forthright about Green's condition. If he is not able to play, the next TEs in line are Jesse James and Xavier Grimble. James is entering his second season and should be the favorite to see a much larger role. It would be best for Fantasy owners to pump the brakes on Green's sleeper status and this will surely cause his ADP to freefall.
