Cowboys QB Tony Romo breaks bone in back, out at least six weeks Posted: 27 Aug 2016 05:14 PM PDT Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo broke a bone in his back and will be forced to miss 6 to 10 weeks. The results of a MRI are in and the injury was more serious than initially reported. The injury came on a tough hit during Thursday's 27-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Rookie QB Dak Prescott finished the game with a solid stat line: 17-for-23, 116 yards and one TD pass. He added 12 yards on two carries. FANTASY ANALYSIS: Prescott was receiving a lot attention after Dallas' preseason game and now that attention will magnify ten-fold. Romo, once again, goes down with a back injury and this hurts everybody in the Cowboys' offense. Prescott should fly up draft boards but he's still a risky pick since he's only set to start half the season or so before Romo returns. |
