Vikings WR Stefon Diggs expected to start Week 7

Posted: 25 Oct 2015 12:02 PM PDT

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs is expected to start today. Charles Johnson is also expected to stay. Diggs being bumped up into the WR2 spot would push Johnson back in the WR4. The rookie has been excellent the past two weeks and Johnson has really struggled this season. FANTASY ANALYSIS: Diggs definitely deserves this opportunity. We seem to see this a lot with rookie wideouts. Martavis Bryant took a similar arch his rookie season. However, Diggs has a long way to go before he's in the conversation with Bryant. Diggs is going to have to do it when defenses actually prepare for him. He won't be able to catch teams by surprise for much longer.

Jaguars WR Allen Hurns active for Week 7

Posted: 25 Oct 2015 11:43 AM PDT

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Hurns is active for Sunday's game in London. He is dealing with both ankle and thigh injuries but was never expected to sit out. FANTASY ANALYSIS: Hurns has been questionable all month with a litany of injuries. However, it has not impacted his production whatsoever. If you were planning on starting him, do so. He's played very well this season.

Jaguars WR Allen Robinson is active for Week 7

Posted: 25 Oct 2015 11:39 AM PDT

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson is active for Sunday's game in London. His leg injury is not as serious as it was originally thought to be. It was only a contusion. FANTASY ANALYSIS: Robinson is becoming the player most of us thought he would be this season. He is a very solid start this week against the Bills. He's safe to plug in your lineups.

Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon is active for Week 7

Posted: 25 Oct 2015 11:33 AM PDT

Jacksonville Jaguars running back T.J. Yeldon is active for Sunday's game in London. Yeldon was forced to sit out last week with a groin injury but will return this week. FANTASY ANALYSIS: Yeldon isn't a bad play this week but is risky. The Bills have been susceptible to some backs this season, however, they're still a very tough defense. It really depends how healthy his groin is. He has been playing well as of late.

Bills RB Karlos Williams is inactive for Week 7

Posted: 25 Oct 2015 11:27 AM PDT

Buffalo Bills running back Karlos Williams is inactive for Sunday's game in London. He is still in the league's concussion protocol and has no official timetable for a return. FANTASY ANALYSIS: With Williams out, LeSean McCoy will see feature-back touches. The Bills hope to get Williams back after their Week 8 bye. He has scored a touchdown in every game he's played in this season.

Bills WR Percy Harvin inactive for Week 7

Posted: 25 Oct 2015 11:22 AM PDT

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Percy Harvin is inactive for Sunday's game in London. He is dealing with both hip and knee injuries. The hip is the more serious of the two. FANTASY ANALYSIS: Harvin is sidelined indefinitely due to his nagging hip. It's been hindering him since his days in Minnesota. There have even been some rumblings that Harvin is considering retirement due to frustration with his chronic hip issues.

Bills WR Sammy Watkins inactive for Week 7

Posted: 25 Oct 2015 11:16 AM PDT

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins is inactive for Sunday's game in London. He is dealing with an ankle injury. Robert Woods will be the WR1. FANTASY ANALYSIS: Watkin was expected to sit out. He is forever injured and there is no word when he'll get back on the field. He was on crutches and in a walking boot this week. He'll hope to return Week 9 after the bye week.

Bills QB Tyrod Taylor inactive for Week 7

Posted: 25 Oct 2015 11:11 AM PDT

Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor is inactive for Sunday's game in London. He is dealing with an MCL injury, E.J. Manuel will start. FANTASY ANALYSIS: This isn't a surprise to anyone. Taylor was never really expected to play. Manuel could be a high-risk punt play against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He may also be competing for the starting job.

Cowboys RB Christine Michael is 'clueless' about his role this week

Posted: 24 Oct 2015 07:09 PM PDT

Dallas Cowboys running back Christine Michael is expected to see a larger role coming off the bye week. The question is, how big of a role? No one seems to know and Michael is no exception. quot;I'm just as clueless as you are,'' Michael said. "Those guys did say I'm going to get a little bit more carries, but we'll see on Sunday. I'm just going to help to do my part. Whatever that bigger part consists of, I'm going to just do what I have to do … I've got to go out there and help contribute to this team. It's a blessing to be out there, it's a blessing that, like they said, I'm going to have more carries … We'll see once Sunday gets here." FANTASY ANALYSIS: Michael is far from a safe start this week. We really don't know what his workload will be. Also, and maybe more importantly, we really don't know how good Michael will be even with a high-volume of touches. He has never proven to be anything more than an athletic bust. The Cowboys offensive line may help change that. The Seattle Seahawks opted for Robert Turbin and an undrafted rookie over him since he was drafted.

Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin has passed the league's concussion test

Posted: 24 Oct 2015 04:49 PM PDT

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Jeremy Maclin is officially listed as questionable for Week 7. However, he has cleared the league's concussion protocol. This is according to head coach Andy Reid. "He's passed everything, we just have to see how he feels," Reid said. "He went through practice today and did a nice job with it." FANTASY ANALYSIS: I seems as if Maclin has a real good shot to play this week. If he has cleared the protocol and looks good in practice, it doesn't seem likely he'll be held out. He would have a pretty solid matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers if he does in fact play. The Steelers are allowing the 11th-most Fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Maclin has been up and down this season. All and all, 39 receptions for 531 yards and a touchdown is a solid stat line.

Steelers QB Michael Vick officially ruled out for Week 7

Posted: 24 Oct 2015 04:34 PM PDT

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Michael Vick has been officially ruled out for Week 7. He is dealing with a hamstring injury and was never really expected to play this week. This is more of a formality than anything else. It remains to be seen if Vick is the QB2 or QB3 once healthy. Landry Jones' performance this week could go a long way to determine that. Either way Roethlisberger is expected back sooner rather than later. FANTASY ANALYSIS: This may be Vick's last stop in his polarizing career. If Jones plays well, he will likely be the QB2 behind Big Ben. While Vick is certainly more gifted, even at this age, Jones is much more familiar with offensive coordinator Todd Hailey's offense. Still, only time will tell what Vick's future holds. It's safe to drop him on to the waiver wire now though. If all goes to plan, we won't get to see the Steelers' QB2 again after this week.

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger makes trip to Kansas City

Posted: 24 Oct 2015 03:28 PM PDT

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger made the trip to Kansas City this weekend. With that said, Landry Jones is still expected to start. However, Big Ben has not been ruled out though. While there is an outside chance Roethlisberger plays, it's important to note that Roethlisberger also traveled to San Diego. He is considered doubtful at this point. FANTASY ANALYSIS: Don't read too much into this and don't count on Big Ben playing Sunday. Nonetheless, he is definitely nearing a return. This may be the last game Roethlisberger misses. He is expected to push to play but is still a very longshot. Still, monitor his status until he's officially ruled out. As soon as he returns, everybody on the Steelers Fantasy value gets a significant boost.

Cowboys WR Dez Bryant did not travel with team

Posted: 24 Oct 2015 02:41 PM PDT

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant was already listed as doubtful for Week 7. Now he didn't travel with the team to New York on Friday. The team now says he could make the trip on Saturday. The bottom line is Bryant isn't going to play this week, no matter how much the team wants to act like he might. If he does make the trip we will update you. FANTASY ANALYSIS: It definitely looks like Fantasy owners are going to have to survive another week without their top receiver. Bryant is not a lock to play next week either. He should be considered week to week at this point. Be sure to monitor his situation every day from here on out until he is made active. He's a must-start as soon as he's on the field. Bryant is a clear-cut WR1.

Colts RB Frank Gore still having his touches monitored

Posted: 24 Oct 2015 01:39 PM PDT

Indianapolis Colts running back Frank Gore was reportedly on a "pitch count" to start the season, as we previously reported. Heading into Week 7 he's averaging less than 15 carries per game and is yet to put up 100 yards from scrimmage in a game all season. Head coach Chuck Pagano confirmed that Gore is still having his touches monitored. "We had a number that we targeted at Training Camp," Pagano said. "We said by the end of the year, this is the number that we would like to gethellip;I think we got to stay close to that (number)." FANTASY ANALYSIS: Gore has been predictably average this season. There was way too much hype surrounding him when he joined a team that has proven time and time again they cannot sustain a rushing attack. Gore isn't a terrible option but he's not a great one either. He should be considered nothing more than a low-end RB2 or flex option moving forward. The Colts' offense has struggled and their offensive line is terrible. Ahmad Bradshaw could cut into Gore's touches, especially in the passing game.

Giants RB Andre Williams still has the faith of his coaches

Posted: 24 Oct 2015 01:18 PM PDT

New York Giants running back Andre Williams has struggled mightily this season and as a pro in general. He is averaging just 2.8 yards per carry this year and 3.2 YPC for his career. Still, offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo still believes in the former Heisman Trophy finalist. quot; Each play tells its own story. There are sometimes where he may get a dirty look, there's sometimes where he maybe could've read something a little bit better, there's sometimes there are times when he doesn't have a good play," McAdoo said. "We'd like to see more production from Andre, we believe in Andre and like to think he'd take advantage of his opportunities moving forward." FANTASY ANALYSIS: Williams showed a ton of promise at Boston College and has shown some flashes in the pros. However, he hasn't proven to be capable of being much more than an inconsistent short-yardage back. Nonetheless, the Giants will likely have to rely on him at some point this season. Rashad Jennings has never in his career played a full 16-game season. Hopefully when Williams gets his opportunity he shines. He may be worth a bench stash for just such an occasion.

Brown QB Johnny Manziel expected to be the team's backup Week 7

Posted: 24 Oct 2015 12:58 PM PDT

Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is still waiting on word regarding possible discipline from either the league or team for his October 12 domestic incident. The incident involved an argument, alcohol and at least some violence and took place while driving down the highway. However, it does not appear the team will discipline him. Head coach Mike Pettine was asked if Manziel will be the starter this week. He replied, quot;More than likely, yeah." FANTASY ANALYSIS: Honestly, it's not our place to judge the domestic incident considering we do not have all the details. However, it is alarming that Manziel was drinking after his stint in rehab this offseason. It's not surprise the incompetent management of the Browns would take no steps to help right this issue. With that said, the police report and dash-cam video may be enough to warrant a suspension in today's ultra-sensitive domestic-violence climate. That's not to say it is or isn't deserved, but pre-Ray Rice video this would be a non-issue. Hopefully this will be a rare occurrence in which an NFL investigation proves the truth. Whatever that may be.
