Find A Prisoner Rights Attorney In NYC And Elsewhere

By Enid Hinton

Crime exist everywhere in the world. While this is the case, increases in the number of individuals incarcerated between 1969 and 2013 is staggering. It has been reported that since 1969, more individuals have been incarcerated than ever before in history. Crimes are being by corrections officers, police officers and prison guards than are being reported in a number of areas. It is for these and associated reasons that a prisoner rights attorney in NYC is essential at places like Ryker's Island, and other institutions around the world.

Without these incredible men and women acting on behalf of prisoners who have been falsely charged, or, those who need assistance in planning and attending a hearing or court case, many would be lost in the confines of what has become a very corrupt system. Even with the help of professionals, many still find themselves locked away. When in reality no crime had ever been committed by the individual.

In some cases, these individuals often work tirelessly on these cases which remain in question. Most often the individuals work to have old evidence updated through new DNA technologies. Some of the most recent have already proved more than a few people awaiting execution innocent. As such, many death penalty supporters, and those whom have always been against the death penalty, now question the ethical aspects of executing an innocent individual.

Partially due to a number of reasons. One being, if an individual is on parole and finds oneself involved in altercation whether at fault, or otherwise, generally it is perceived that the individual on parole is to blame. While it has been proven that most criminal offenders with a felony record of child abuse, or murder, and while lower level offenders have been known to re-offend, this is not at all a fair assumption.

In one case, a young man defended himself from a knife-welding x-wife, still when the police came, he was the one arrested without question. Neither he nor his x-wife were questioned, he was on parole so he was going to jail. In prison, the young man had the help of an attorney who finally listened to, and believed his side of the story due to past issues on her part.

Another problem in which these lawyers work is in regard to the murders now taking place at many prisons, both public and private around the world. In one case, a prison is under investigation for the homicide of a 63 year old mental patient who was treated quite roughly during an escort fro one area of the prison to another and died. After the investigation was complete, the death was ruled a homicide. There have been a number of other people die under circumstances that do not appear to be natural, as a result the prison still remains under investigation in relation to these deaths and other incidents.

The U. S. Congress, after researching the recent events in the United States with regards to police murders has now set forth new regulations. Initially, the police forces in the United States and elsewhere were developed to serve and protect the people in a time of need.

Over the years, this has transpired into something much different. Most recently, that of harassment and murder, not only in Missouri, New York, Texas, but around the world. Realities which show the important work which these individuals do on a regular basis. While not all are successful, it is hopeful that most dealing with innocent individuals which have been locked away will get the help one needs to find freedom.
