| Jets RB Chris Johnson arrested in Florida Posted: 10 Jan 2015 02:08 PM PST On Friday night, Jets RB Chris Johnson was arrested on a weapons charge. The Orlando native was allegedly pulled over by police after rolling through a stop sign. Upon approaching the car, the officers reportedly spotted Johnson's gun under his seat rather than locked away somewhere else inside of the vehicle. While the Jet does have a license for the firearm, he does not have a license to open carry. As a result, Johnson was brought into the station and charged with open carrying of a firearm, which is a second-degree misdemeanor. FANTASY ANALYSIS: Johnson is unlikely to be severely punished for the transgression. However, after a lackluster season in which he started only six games, the arrest certainly doesn't help his cause. A team in flux, the Jets are motivated to cut any fat. Johnson did flash a few times in 2014, but his production wasn't consistent enough to forecast a return to fantasy relevance. |
