Some Online Employment Hoaxes

By George Dodson

Due to the economical depression many people are out of work. When the regular job market becomes difficult, those looking for work turn to other avenues to find employment. Online job market has become very popular nowadays. There are people who are earning a lot from the online jobs and so are concentrating on the online jobs for a full time basis. As a result, scammers have gotten into the act.

Some websites were designed to monitor online scams. Scammers have even developed a number of websites to fool normal people. Most of the sites were opened in the US. It is now 2012. Do you have an idea how many more have come up now?

If you are looking for work online how will you be able to detect a fake site? Are there any signs to protect you from the scams. Most of the online scammers are difficult to detect. They know very well what jobseekers are actually looking for. A lot of professional copywriters, graphic designers and even fake reviews are provided to deceive the people. They can even take over legitimate web sites.

You can look for the telltale signs available. Begin by looking at the website itself. How does it appear? Is the email genuine? See whether it is from a corporate domain rather than Gmail or Yahoo. Is there anything wrong about the page? Are they using popular web names to attract your attention, yet the use is illegitimate? Do they sound to be too good?

Research this company on such sites as BobBear.co.uk. Look for any information regarding the site. Does the company you are checking on, pop up here as a fake or scam?

If they ask for your personal details then they are probably a scam. Is the company trying to convince you that they are legal, with words such as "100% legal?" They are not.

It is always advised to stay prepared when looking for jobs online. Proper companies will need your name and email to start the process. Try to have a look at the online scam websites.

If you do these simple things, you have a much better chance of finding an online business that is legitimate. Before you fill out employment applications online, take a look to make sure everything looks right.
