In the third period of web development "Flash" technology was introduced. This period of web site designing also offered the use of multi-media content with sounds, 3D models and animation. Multi-media content was used by web designers to draw customers and visitors to a website by the product that the site had to offer. In order to assure quick reference to user, the navigation of the site and site structure played a vital role.
In this time frame the "AIDA" strategy was also created. This principal consists of A-attract new visitors, I-keep the visitor's interest and hold it for a while, D- entice the desire of the visitor to learn more about what the site has to offer and A-make the visitor want to take action while they are on the website.
The fourth period of web designing is very similar to the third period when in the way of technological developments but it has some very unique features and selling propositions that can only be utilized on the internet. Websites are now specifically designed and developed to meet the user's requirements such as education, government or business.
