When Albert Pujols of the St. Louis Cardinals broke his wrist last summer, fans, as well as the organization thought he would miss as much as six months. Little did everyone know he would be back on the field in about two weeks. Pujols immediately saw team doctors and trainers after the injury and it didn't cost him a dime. Unfortunately, everyday people like you or I do not have that convenience. Instead we are figuring out what is the best way to pay medical bills and answer calls from the medical collection agencies.
Severe injuries are no joke. They need to be treated properly and immediately. Personally, I've had my own share of severe injuries including a broken fibula, paired with torn ligaments in my ankle and a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament. Each time I was diagnosed quickly, did what I needed to do and got healthy. Debt never even crossed my mind.
I have a lot of debt strictly because of the injuries that I've suffered during the past few years. Was there an option on getting treatment for these injuries? Absolutely not. I live an active lifestyle that consists of playing a variety of sports and working out often. Never being able to walk again was not an option. I'd easily rather be in debt with a medical collection agency.
Rather than get treatment, some people opt to try to deal with it. Trying to deal with the injury instead of seeing a doctor is a huge mistake. There are people that will help you such as Rapid Recovery Solutions that will work with you to pay off those ugly medical bills. Even if you are in debt, it's better to be healthy.
I knew that getting treatment for these injuries was not the best option, it was the only option. You don't want to ignore treatment when you get sick or suffer an injury. Things can get much worse when ignoring it. Infections could get worse and they often lead to amputation and in some cases, death.
