Trusting In Credit Card Collection Agencies Can Literally Save Your Life!

By Morgan Dion

As far as I can remember I've always been in debt of some sort, and take my word for it, it's a miserable feeling. It's as if you own nothing, and at any time the rug can be swept up from underneath your feet! My advice; no matter what you do, don't get in debt to a big company as they can be ruthless, however if they hire a credit card collection agency you will be given a second chance to work things out in a civilized way!

To be fair, my predicament didn't occur overnight. It was a slow and steady process stemming from getting canned from my job due to some union dispute. From there my credit cards slowly became my lifeline, and I inevitably made payments I wasn't able to pay off in the long run, in hopes of recovering financially. Sadly that was not meant to be the case.

Initially I was badgered through endless warnings via phone calls and mail, begging me to pay, but much to my dismay I could not for I didn't have the means. As time passed their threats elevated quickly and soon I had seen the words 'legal action' among the usual letters, and I felt backed into a corner. My credit card debt had gone too far, and sooner or later something had to give.

At the time I made a reckless decision to try and end it all, which seemed like my only option. Clearly though, crime doesn't pay as I recall the events behind my cell's bars of my haphazard attempt to rob a bank. It is honestly regretful that I didn't think things through before jumping into an even more serious situation. As the old proverb says, "two wrongs don't make a right". However, I was enlightened to the true purpose of all of the calls.

Interestingly enough, had I just taken the time to speak with them, I'd have found them to be very reasoning. Through my lawyer, I learned that esteemed companies such as Rapid Recovery Solutions were hired through my credit card company to retrieve the debt I owed, and that they had with them plans to not only solve my debt on credit cards, but all my debt entirely by setting up a slow and steady payment plan. Unfortunately my misconceptions and my stress got the better of me. I was a fool not to work with collection companies, and I was a fool to remain in debt!
