Proven Ways to Get Affiliate Networks to Approve Your Application

By Vincent Flynn

With so many people competing in the affiliate marketing industry, it's important that you learn some of the fundamentals as soon as possible. One problem that many people face right at the start of their affiliate marketing careers is not being able to get accepted by affiliate networks. Successfully applying to affiliate networks can be a tricky business, but if you apply the tips we'll be sharing in this article, you'll find it's not really that difficult.

If you heard that a site of your own is not required for approval, then you can just throw that one out the window. You are taking a gamble with this if you apply and do not list a site, but that is your call. So the solution is really simple, merely put a website up or a blog, and it will be helpful if you choose a good niche that is suitable for affiliate products. Avoid all the typical free blogging sites, and then all you have to do is have a hosting account and a domain name. The first thing the affiliate manager will go check out is your website, and if they feel that it's not good enough then you'll straight away be rejected. Today, there is no reason at all for having a crappy looking site because you can buy very inexpensive site templates. You will help your self be approved, and life will be good. This is your get accepted site, and it just has to work for that one thing.

Have a Working Phone Number: One requirement you'll have to fulfill is being able to answer the phone to verify your phone number. In order to get accepted into most companies that are CPA oriented, you'll have to answer a phone call. If you miss the call or your phone isn't working, you'll be out of luck with that company. You may want to get a new phone number that's used exclusively for this business so you can be sure that you won't miss any calls. It's also a good idea to avoid anything that would detract from your image, such as ringtones or voice mail that doesn't come across as professional. Answer the call in a confident way, so you convince the manager that you're well qualified. So you should recognize that you may be interviewed over the phone, and it's really not that big of a deal.

Don't Use Traffic That's Incentivized: When you fill out your application or talk to the affiliate network on the phone, they'll probably question you about the type of traffic you'll be driving to offers. Many networks will ask you where you get traffic from, and whether or not this traffic is incentivized in any way. It's very important that you clearly state that you never use incentivized traffic, or your application will not be approved. They want traffic that's based on genuine interest, not incentives, as the latter is not considered good quality traffic. You only have to be concerned about this issue when dealing with CPA networks. These networks don't want people opting for a lead in exchange of a bribe. A lead is only valuable to this kind of company if he or she is true prospect and not someone just looking for a freebie. Even though you will find incentivized offers once you sign up with these networks, it's always better to be on the safe side by letting them know that your traffic is direct and high quality.

Last but not the least, treat your affiliate business as your real business, because only then will you take the necessary steps to get over issues like being accepted in an affiliate network.
